Are you a good negotiator?
This week we will talk about negotiations. An important process in any client-agency relationship. Being a good negotiator is key to make sure the agency can get the best deals on a number of issues such as: long-term retainer contracts, 3rd party supplier quotations, and even agreements to the extent of your “creative license” in the execution of various IMC tools.
According to Theodore W. Keel (1999) “Negotiations are about changing the status quo. Unless both parties can receive something more than what the status quo provides, there is nothing for them to negotiate.”
